09/29/06: Over his dead body

M: Okay, I finally got around to playing Dead Rising a bit. Hm. It's interesting to see that Capcom got all the difficult stuff (technology, controls, mood, setting, probably
even the story) exactly right and then botched the most basic elements, like the constant time pressure in a free-roam world. Or the (only slightly but still) unwieldy save
system. I'm not one to continuously quick-save my game, and in fact, I think Max Payne is a horrible game for exactly this reason. However, only having one save game
per console is simply horrible. You can't even start a new game in order to show the intro to a friend! Also, I would have liked a little less radical approach to failure than
the "save your stats and completely restart the game whenever you mess up one of your assignments" one.

Anyway, this strip was a real test of patience. I'll never draw that many people again. At last count, there are 89 zombies in the last picture. Of course, I'm also counting
the ones that only stick in their face or arms, but still, that was a huge pain. In case you're interested, you can see a non-blurred version of the crowd here. Please keep
in mind that I'm a person that draws things he knows exist, even if you can't see them. Therefore, even the undead in the back row have a body for the most part. Ack.
