11/26/07: He got it coming!

M: Okay, I might have to work on those production times. Three months between strips just doesn't cut it, I know.

As for this one, there's not much to say. A lot of gamers feel like their hobby deserves more (positive) attention from the mass media, maybe even
recognition as an art form. I've got a piece of advice for you: Stop buying the gaming equivalent of popcorn movies only, or at least buy the occasional
"artsy" game, as well. You know, titles like "Okami", "Ico" and "Rez"? Yeah, nobody bought those. Of course, certain developers seem to push the
envelope deliberately, when it comes to violence. For some reason, every one of their new games seems to be gorier than the last one. I also had an
alternate version of the strip, that was supposed to refrain from physical violence.

In the meantime, Nintendo tricks the public into believing their games are clean family fun only. Quite effectively, too. Judging from the TV commercials,
you'd never guess there were games like "Resident Evil 4", "RE: Umbrella Chronicles", "House of the Dead 3" or "Manhunt 2" on the Wii. My favorite by
far was the German TV ad for "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption", though. They cut out all shooting sequences, and replaced the missing video footage
during these seconds by this:

Not bad, eh? Yeah, welcome to marketing. Anyway, still a good game, so I'll stop laying into it now.
